Configure first-party customer cohorts

Measure repeat purchase, CAC, LTV, and payback inside an approved seller-owned identity boundary.

Prerequisites

  • Approved lawful purpose, retention policy, identity rule, key-recovery owner, and workspace activation.
  • Seller-owned opaque customer references only; never marketplace buyer identity, email, phone, or free-form personal data.
  • Complete source history, eligible owned-store orders, and independently supported acquisition spend.

Build and review

  1. 1

Open Channel Economics → Cohorts and select the approved identity domain.

  2. 2

Register sources, link eligible orders, and attribute campaign costs without double-counting channel advertising.

  3. 3

Review unmatched orders, unattributed spend, source coverage, observation window, maturity, and minimum-size suppression.

  4. 4

Use export and erasure controls for retained identity links when handling a valid data-subject request.

Interpret safely

CAC, repeat rate, contribution LTV, LTV/CAC, and payback remain unavailable when a required denominator, cost, cohort age, or identity link is missing. Erasing a link does not erase financial records governed by separate retention rules.
